Roman Baths

Roman Baths (StreetView)
The Roman Baths are built upon limestone aquifers. Under pressure the water is heated and rises to the surface.

The area was first discovered by the Celts, but the Romans built the original temple in 60-70 AD. The complex has been reconstructed and added to over the years, the latest work done in 1899.
