Roman Columns Under Pavement

Roman Columns Under Pavement (StreetView)
Two granite circles on the pavement in modern-day Lincoln, UK mark the site of two sub surface columns dating back to the Roman Empire and the Roman town, Lindum Colonia, once on the site of modern-day Lincoln. The two columns are not the only Roman remains within the city. The Newport Arch, the oldest arch in the UK to still be used by traffic, and remains of the original Roman town wall also remain.
