The filmmaker and producer, as well as an actor, lived here. He came to prominence in the 1960's while playing Andy Griffith's TV son, Opie Taylor, on "The Andy Griffith Show", and later in the 1970's as Howard Cunningham's son and Arthur Fonzarelli's best friend, Richie Cunningham, on "Happy Days". Since retiring from acting, he has directed many films including "Apollo 13", "A Beautiful Mind", "Frost/Nixon", "The Da Vinci Code", and it's sequel, "Angels and Demons". He sold the 5-bed, 3-bath, 6,657 sq ft home in December of 2003 for $5.45M, according to public records.
