On Saturday 12th November 2022, Noah OE6NOA/P, a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Roteck and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 39 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Roteck is 2742 metres (8996 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
