Royal Liver Building and the Liver birds

Royal Liver Building and the Liver birds (StreetView)
The building along with the two Liver birds that sit atop are icons in the port city of Liverpool. The building was built in 1911 and stands 300 feet tall. The use of the liver bird as the Liverpool's symbol is said to date back to the 1350's. One liver bird can be seen at the top of the building and the other is down at the roof level on the right.
