Russian Bear Lake Radio Telescope

Moscow, Russian Federation (RU)
Lots of other smaller dishes to the SE and a long line of MIGs on display. Probably a military air force / space command center.

This area seems kind of built up for this to be a radio telescope; they'd have a hard time isolating it from the surrounding background radio noise.

I visited this radio dish back in 1997
It is used for communication with artificial satellites
There is indeed a row of jets at the entrance lane. I don't know what they are doing there.
