Samjiyon Grand Monument

The Samjiyon Grand Monument is in Ryanggang Province in the northern part of the DPRK.

The monument is based on the historic fact that President Kim Il Sung, heading the main unit of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in May Juche 28 (1939), advanced into the homeland to deal a heavy blow to the Japanese imperialist aggression forces and inspire local people with confidence in victory in the struggle for national liberation.
