Satellite Dish AN TSC-54 on static display

Fort Monmouth, New Jersey (NJ), US
I've seen planes, tanks, missiles and ships on static display. You don't often see Satellite Dishes on static display.

Also see the tank and other hardware further to the SW.

It's fitting that this is on display at Ft. Monmouth, which was the home of the U S Army Satcom Agency. USASA was the initial developer and program management office for development of this particular system, the AN/TSC-54. Only the antenna is shown, a small equipment shelter and trailer mounted generators were also part of the system.

I was a senior instructor at the school in the mid 70s. Fine system and was easy to maintain. We have a similar system here at ft gordon and with the comm shelter.
