The Selma Shell race team competed with the World of Outlaws sprint car series for many years. Dave Helm owned this team until his death in February 2007. He also owned a Shell gas station near Fresno, California, which served as a sponsor for his nationally touring car. Among the many drivers who drove the #11H car were Greg Hodnett, Stevie Smith, Lucas Wolfe, Paul McMahon, Tim Shaffer, Jeff Shepard, Steve Kent, and most recently Kerry Madsen.
