On the campus of Bowdoin College, this 1,900 seat arena is home to the school's NCAA Division III ice hockey program. It opened on January 18, 2009. The building became the first newly constructed ice arena in the country to earn the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).
The arena is named after Sid Watson, who was the team's head coach from 1960-83. Watson played in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins from 1955-58.
