Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. was started in 1980 by fanatic home-brewers Ken Grossman and Paul Camusi in Chico, California. Camusi has since retired and sold his share to Grossman.

The brewery is powered by 10,000 solar panels covering its rooftops and parking lot producing more than 2.6 megawatts of solar electricity on premises.
