On Wednesday 31st August 2022, Leszek OM/SQ9MDF/P, a radio amateur from Poland reached the summit of Sivý vrch and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 54 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 80, 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Sivý vrch is 1805 metres (5922 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
