Skydivers about to land

Three skydivers can be seen looking for a soft spot to land at the Sylvania Airport. This is a common occurrence, as Skydive Midwest operates here seven days a week.

In 2012, the business had two incidents with its airplane that made the news. In August, mechanical problems just after takeoff forced an emergency landing on nearby Highway 11. In October, the plane skidded beyond the end of the runway and came to rest across all three lanes of southbound I-94.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in either incident. The plane can be seen in this map parked just below the skydivers.
