This 1/2 mile pavement oval race track was open for business in 1983-84, 1987, and 1992-2000. A 1/4 mile dirt oval track was also built, but it only held one race in 1983.
The track's property was purchased by the airport just to the south in order to comply with FAA regulations regarding end of runway space.
The track was built by Garland Waldroop, an owner of a construction business. He passed away in August 2014 at the age of 74.
