On Sunday 18th September 2022, David K7DMJ, a radio amateur from Alpine, UT reached the summit of South Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 14 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
