South Stadium

Though the school next door is used as a landmark in driving directions to South Stadium, the school and stadium are not directly related. Since many high schools in the area don't have their own fields, South Stadium has been used for local high school football games for over 45 years. Locker rooms are located under the north stands.

I watched a game here for the first time in about 20 years today. It's very, very rundown. Under the stands, there were "Danger Asbestos" signs near the restrooms, serious water damage along the ceiling, and it looked like it hadn't been swept in years. The field itself was trashed from holding so many football and soccer games in the last few months.

The PA announcer kept calling it "Historic South Stadium". I call it "Neglected South Stadium".
