St Ivan Riski Church is all that remains of Zapalnya, Bulgaria. The settlement together with two other towns were submerged by the communist regime back in 1965 when they built the Zhrebchevo reservoir, near the town of Tvardica.
The church was said to have been built in 1895. Today the church is the only remains of the small community. At low tides a small section of the cemetery can be seen, but nothing else can be seen.
