An historic church rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666, by renowned architect Sir Christopher Wren. It is located in Bow, in the City of London. The church still functions and is of the Church of England denomination (Protestant).

There is a legend that you were only a true 'Cockney' if you were born within earshot of the Bow Bells (church bells). Historically the surrounding area was largely populated by working-class 'Cockneys', typical of the East of London.

In the churchyard is a statue of Captain John Smith of Jamestown, founder of Virginia and former parishioner of the church.
