Saint Stephen I (Hungarian: I. (Szent) István; 967 or 969 or 975 – 15 August 1038, Esztergom or Székesfehérvár, Kingdom of Hungary), was the first King of Hungary.

This statue of St. Stephen made by local sculptor Béla Tóth was inaugurated in the last hour of the Hungarian Millennium, on 31 December 2001.
