On Wednesday 10th August 2022, Christian OE5HCE/P a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Steiglkogel and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 10 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit Steiglkogel is 2204 metres (7231 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
