The barrow lies on a patch of land in a field. The barrow is thought to have been constructed sometime between 3950 BC - 2801 BC. The full length of the barrow remains today and has been untouched by ploughing. However, the majority of the stones, including the dolmen, have been removed. One stone on the site also has cup-marks on it.

The barrow is one of several within the area. All dolmens and barrows are protected.
