Every now and then I encounter these odd isolated instances of very high resolution imagery among low res imagery. If you go a jump to the left or right the imagery is all older low res but this shot is high and much newer.

Thanks for the heads up, kjfitz. After cruising around the city, I've found that almost all of the single high resolution scenes are in intersections, perhaps a precursor to google filling in the points in between with new footage in the near future.

There are some stretches of road that are completely covered in high resolution... the 7th Street Bridge, for example.
