The Sunset Sound Recorders complex was started by Tutti Camarata, Walt Disney's Director of Recording. The studio was used to record Disney's films like "Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Mary Poppins and 100 Dalmations.

Over 200 Gold records were recorded here as well. Artists like Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, Paul McCartney, Janice Joplin, Prince, Louis Armstrong, The Doors, Miles Davis, Beach Boys and many others.
