On Wednesday 15th February 2023, Guido HB9TNF, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Sur al Cant and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 50 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Sur al Cant is 2848 metres (9344 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
