On Tuesday 6th September 2022, Mark KT0/A, a radio amateur from Castel Rock, CO reached the summit of Sylvan Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 51 contacts in total working on the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Sylvan Peak is 2134 metres (7001 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
