This once secret military complex began construction in 1951 and was completed in 1956 for the Moscow Air Defence District (PVO). The facility consisted of a bunker, communications center and command post. Everything needed to survive a nuclear attack. The bunker measures at 7,000 square meters (75,000 sq ft) and is 65 meters (213 ft) below ground.
Today, the space acts as a museum, meeting space and restaurant.
