On Sunday 17th July 2022 JF1UPK/1 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Takayama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 19 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Takayama is 1668 metres (5472 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
