Driving for British American Racing, Japan's Takuma Sato raced in this Honda-powered BAR 006 in the 2004 Formula One season. With a 3rd place finish at the US Grand Prix at Indianapolis, he became the first Japanese driver to earn a podium in F1 since 1990. After spending seven years in Formula One, Sato's career has continued in the IndyCar series since 2010.
