The Sidi Driss Hotel was used as Luke Skywalker's home (Owen Lars homestead) in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977). It featured again in the 2002 prequel film Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

The hotel is designed as a Berber underground building.
