Windermere Police Officer Robert German called for backup around 3.30 a.m. after encountering Alexandria Hollinghurst, 17, and Brandon Goode, 18, while while conducting foot patrols Saturday morning, in the same exclusive gated community that Tiger Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren previously had a home, and immediately called for backup.
Officers arriving on the scene found German shot and then had to take cover as two more gunshots went off about one block away, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Those shots claimed the lives of both teens.
Authorities are operating under the assumption both Goode and Hollinghurst committed suicide, but her family believes she was murdered.
