On Saturday 10th September 2022, David EA1HIX, a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Teleno and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 78 contacts in total working on the 40 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Teleno is 2182 metres (7159 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
