Romanian private entrepreneur Stefan Mandachi built the first meter of a highway in Moldova which he inaugurated in 2019, and put a cross on it mocking the Romanian government, and society in general, for their inability to build highways. He called it the "Museum of the First Meter of Highway".

In 2021 he offered it for an auction to help the local Red Cross.
