Shown is King Christian IV with a lost right eye on board the Danish battle ship Trefoldigheden.
This famous battle resulted in the Royal Danish National Anthem "Kong Christian stod ved højen Mast" ("King Christian stood by the lofty mast") by Johannes Ewald and Johann Hartmann from 1778.
The bloody costume an cloth from his eye can be seen at Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen.
