For long it was believed the source was the Donauquelle in the city of Donaueschingen until it was changed to the river sources of the Breg and Brigach.

The Danube River is the 2nd. longest river in Europe with 2,860 km (1,777 mi) flowing into the Black Sea passing among others the cities Ulm, Regensburg, Passau, Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade and being the border between Bulgaria and Romania.
