This was the home of James Kennedy, Great-Great-Grandfather of US President J. F. Kennedy.

James Kennedy's son, Patrick Kennedy, was born here around 1823. 1849 he left the place and immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts. He died there November 22, 1858.

In 1963, President Kennedy visited the place.
