The Long Walk of Windsor Great Park

The Long Walk is a 2.64 mile path that stretches from the statue of King George III, called The Copper Horse, to the gate of Windsor Castle. One both sides of the path are a double row of 1,652 elm trees, planted during the reign of King Charles II. The smooth path itself was constructed by Queen Anne in 1710 for a comfortable ride in her coach.
