The National Civil War Museum

The museum is located in the scenic Reservoir Park overlooking the City of Harrisburg. It is a nonprofit education museum dedicated to the promotion and preservation of material and information related solely to the American Civil War. The museum also hosts the headquarters of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), the successor to the Grand Army of the Republic. IN 2009 the museum became affiliated with the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C.
