Early in the morning, saturday June 17. 2017, Western Greenland was hit by an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 causing a tsunami at the the greenlandic village Nuugaatsiaq, some 65 Miles north of the town of Uummannaq.

4 houses near the shore were caught by the waves into the sea. 4 people are missing, 39 could get into safety in the nearby hills. Several sled dogs drowned too.
