Opened in 1924, the Tivoli Theatre in St. Louis now features independent film and foreign language cinema. Through the years, like many older theaters, the Tivoli suffered a long period of decline and closed in 1994. However, after a meticulous renovation costing in excess of $2 million that brought the theater back to its original splender, the Tivoli reopened on May 19, 1995
