Salona was an ancient capital and city of the Roman province on the Dalmatian coast in modern-day Croatia. Salona was established sometime after the Roman civil wars under the command of Julius Caesar. The city had many Roman features which we see in other Roman cities such as walls, a forum, a theatre, an amphitheatre, public baths and aqueduct.
