Todd Mickelson's sprint car

Todd Mickelson's stripped down sprint car is seen parked down the street from the Knoxville Raceway. Mickelson is from Minot, North Dakota. He primarily races in his home state, but he made a trip to compete in Iowa for a few races in 2015.

The Google Street View camera car drove through this small town just before the prestigious 2015 Knoxville Nationals (August 12-15). The Nationals is a four day event held each year attracting sprint car teams from across the United States, and even Australia. With over 100 race teams flocking to this town, many teams are forced to find a place to park away from the track to perform routine maintenance. Many of the streetside vendors are not yet set up, which makes me believe this might be the day before the races kicked off. (I was there for all four days in 2015).

On the final night of racing, Todd finished 13th in the E-main (essentially 93rd place out of the week's 112 entries).
