Christian VII was King from 1766-1808. He was called The mad King.

His Queen was Caroline Mathilde who became famous having an affair with the court doctor Struensee. He was tried and beheaded 28. April 1772 and Queen Caroline Mathilde was divorced and sent out of the country and lived poverly at Celle Castle in Germany and died in 1775 age 23. She was interred in the crypt of St. Marys Church.
