P. Anthony Ridder is the former Chairman and CEO of Knight-Ridder. Until it was bought by The McClatchy Company on June 27, 2006, Knight-Ridder was the second-largest newspaper publisher in the United States, with 32 daily newspapers sold. Its headquarters were located in San Jose, California.
