This towpath bridge carries the tow path of the Trent and Mersey Canal over the Macclesfield Canal to the northwest of the Staffordshire town of Kidsgrove.

The brick-built bridge with stone segmental arch over the Macclesfield Canal was constructed in 1828 when a branch of the Trent and Mersey Canal was built to connect with the Macclesfield canal.

On the parapet of the bridge is a stone panel on which is inscribed the name Macclesfield Canal and the year that the bridge was built in Roman numerals (MDCCXXVII i.e., 1828). The Macclesfield Canal was opened 3 years after the completion of the aqueduct in 1831.
