Toyota Crown Royal S170

Toyota Crown Royal S170

Kashima-shi, Japan (JP)
This generation of the Toyota Crown flagship luxury car, released in September 1999, was the first with the Toyota Electric Modulated Suspension that was used in upmarket Toyotas beginning in the 1980s, which provides comfort and handling depending on road conditions by adjusting damping. 2-liter, 2 1/2-liter, and 3-liter engines were all available for the Royal, which was the sedan/saloon model designation for the Crown, and the latter displacing engine also offered a mild hybrid system. A smaller front overhang ensures as much interior and trunk space as possible. This generation also replaced the S130-series Crown for the Indonesian market, as the S150 and the S140 weren't exported often outside of Japan.
