There are differences between the Toyota Supra A80 offered in the Japanese Domestic Market and export markets. For example, regulations mandate that the turbocharged model in Japan be rated no more than 276 horsepower while in the U.S. market it can produce up to 320 horsepower and 326 for Europe. Trims were the SZ, SZ-R, and RZ, and was produced up to August 2002, falling to increasingly stringent environmental standards and a waning sports car market in general.
Additionally, while it can reach at least 177 mph ungoverned, by law in Japan, they are limited to 112 mph over there.
