Traditionsschiff Typ Frieden (Birds Eye)
Traditionsschiff Typ Frieden, originally named Dresden, was built in 1956-57 by VEB Warnowwerft, Warnemünde, DDR, as the fifth of the fifteen Frieden class cargo ships. She was delivered to the Deutsche Seereederei, Rostock, on 27. July 1958. On 11.November 1969 she was taken out of service as there was found to be considerable defects in her machinery. On 13. June 1970 she was opened to public as museum ship and today is part of the Rostock Shipbuilding and Maritime Museum (Rostocker Schiffbau- und Schifffahrtsmuseums).
