This memorial is a life-sized statue of Treo, who was a black Labrador retriever-English springer spaniel army dog.
Treo was a search and secure army dog who was awarded the PDSA Dickins medal for gallantry the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross.
Treo with his handler Dave Heyhoe did many tours of duty including in Northern Ireland and Afghanistan. He was responsible for sniffing out explosives and saved many lives during his service with the British Army.
