On Wednesday 1st March 2023, radio amateurs from Spain reached the summit of Trevenque and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. The special callsign EG7GUR was used for this activation in remembrance of the late EA2IF.

47 contacts were made during the activation working on the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Trevenque is 2077 metres (6814 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
