Hartbeespoort Dam (also known as Harties) is an arch type dam situated in the North West Province, South Africa.

The Triumphal Arch built over the centre part of the dam wall was erected to provide structural mass to the wall's water-retaining strength.

The two Latin inscriptions on the arch are:

"Dedi in deserto aquas fulmina in invio"
Translated: "I shall pour down rain on the thirsty land and showers on the dry ground" (Isaiah 44.3)

"Sine aqua arida ac misera agri cultura"
Translated: "Without water agriculture is dry and miserable".
